FEMA is here due to severe storms and flooding which caused 10
deaths and destroyed numerous homes

Stone Mountain, GA, October 22,
2009 -- Lorie Cornwell, a volunteer with DeKalb Emergency Management
Agency, inspects a flood damaged residence in DeKalb County. The
site visit is part of a county-sponsored training class for area
officials on how to evaluate damaged houses, using a new FEMA
software program that makes it easier for communities to assess

local television crew at this moment, GEMA, FEMA, SBA, and local
officials are going door to door in this flood affected mobile home

Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) in Operation after
Georgia Floods

Austell, GA, 9/25/09 -- This sign is
placed at an intersection near the Cobb County DRC to help flood affected
residents find their way to help.

Lilburn, GA, 10/ 7/09 -- At the Gwinnett
County GEMA/FEMA DRC, FEMA Representative provides initial information
about services available and how to access them.

Atlanta, GA, 10/08/09 -- Located in the
Fulton County Court House Annex, the Disaster Recovery Center is open to
serve residents impacted by recent storms and flooding. DRC's provide
accessibility to multiple disaster service agencies in one location.

Lilburn, GA, October 10/07/09 -- FEMA
Mitigation(MIT) Representative Amelia Pino provides information to a flood
affected resident. MIT provides services which help rebuild homes to be
disaster resistant.
